Consumer Purchase Terms and Conditions – AustraliaThese Consumer Purchase Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) constitute a legal agreement between you and Roll-Road Pty Ltd (“Roll-Road”) and apply to all consumer purchases of electric bikes (“e-bikes”) and related accessories (collectively, the “Products”) made via roll-road.com.au. By purchasing or using any Product, you agree to be bound by these Terms in full.Please read these Terms carefully. They outline your rights and responsibilities under Australian law, including your statutory rights under theAustralian Consumer Law(ACL). Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies your rights under the ACL.
1. Payment Policy
For all orders (including pre-orders), your credit/debit card or PayPal account will be charged immediately upon checkout. Payment is collected at the time of order, regardless of the estimated shipping date.
2. Cancellation and Returns
2.1 Cancellation Before Dispatch
You may request to cancel your order for a full refundat any time before your shipment confirmation email(containing tracking information) is sent.
- A processing fee of 8% of the total transaction amount will be deducted to cover Shopify, payment gateway, and administrative costs.
- If you used an interest-free installment plan (e.g., Afterpay, Zip), a 10% handling fee will apply due to third-party provider charges.
2.2 Refused or Undelivered Shipments
If you refuse delivery after the shipping label has been created, you will be responsible for:
- Round-trip shipping costs, and
- The applicable handling fee (8% standard / 10% for installment payments).
No refund will be issued until the Product is returned to our warehouse in original condition.
2.3 Returns Within 15 Days of Delivery
You may return your e-bike within15 natural daysfrom the date of delivery, provided it meets the following conditions:⚠️Important: Your rights under the ACL (e.g., for faulty or significantly different goods) are separate from this change-of-mind return policy and are not limited to 15 days.To be eligible for a change-of-mind return:
- The e-bike must be unused, with less than 10 km ridden.
- It must be free of dirt, dust, odours, scratches, or any signs of wear.
- All original packaging, protective films, manuals, and accessories must be included.
- The original box must be intact — we provide only one box per bike, so please retain it until you confirm your satisfaction.

- Unopened box: Round-trip shipping + 8% (or 10% for installments) handling fee.
- Opened box: Round-trip shipping + 30% restocking fee + handling fee (8%/10%).
📸Evidence Required: For any claim of damage or defect, clearphotos and/or videostaken within7 days of deliveryare mandatory. Claims submitted after 7 days for non-manufacturing damage (e.g., misuse, accidents) are not covered under warranty.
2.4 Returns After 15 Days
Change-of-mind returns arenot acceptedafter 15 natural days from delivery.However, if the Product has amajor fault, isnot fit for purpose, orsignificantly different from description, you retain full rights under the ACL — including repair, replacement, or refund — regardless of the 15-day window.
3. Non-Returnable Items
The following arenot eligiblefor change-of-mind returns:
- All accessories (helmets, locks, bags, etc.)
- Used or ridden e-bikes (beyond 10 km)
- Items missing original packaging or showing signs of use
- Special/custom orders
4. Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the outcome.
- Approved refunds will be processed within 14 business days to your original payment method.
- Roll-Road reserves the right to withhold part or all of the refund if the Product is returned in poor, damaged, or incomplete condition.
- You remain responsible for all applicable fees (shipping, restocking, handling) as outlined above.
5. E-Bike Performance & Specifications
- Range estimates (e.g., “up to 240 km”) are based on ideal lab conditions. Real-world range varies due to rider weight, terrain, temperature, assist level, battery age, and speed.
- Climbing ability (e.g., 30% grade) is tested with a 75 kg rider on a short, paved incline. Actual performance depends on multiple factors.
- Roll-Road may substitute components with equivalents of equal quality without notice.
⚠️ Warranty Void: Any unauthorised modification, tuning, or alteration to the e-bike’s motor, controller, or safety systems will void the warranty and may create serious safety risks.
6. Safety & Responsibility
- Minimum rider age: 16 years. You must comply with your state/territory laws.
- Helmet use: Always wear an Australian Standard (AS/NZS 2063) certified helmet. Many areas require lights, bells, or reflectors — check local rules.
- Pre-ride checks: Inspect brakes, bolts, tyres, and fasteners before every ride. Vibration can loosen components.
- Assembly: Even though we inspect all bikes before dispatch, minor adjustments (e.g., brake rub, derailleur alignment) after shipping are normal and not covered under warranty. We strongly recommend professional assembly.
- Risk acknowledgment: Riding involves inherent risks. You assume full responsibility for safe operation and compliance with road rules.
7. Statutory Rights Under Australian Consumer Law
